Physical matchmaking events - How do they work?
A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners. 25 minutes run fast, but they are enough to build first connections before the meeting ends and the next talk starts. There are 5 minutes in between each meeting to move along to the next one.
1) Invitation to join the platform
Email from the system to join us on the B2Match platform.
2) Edit your business profile to showcase your needs
Your profile will be pre-populated with the information you have already provided. Please take some time to go over the information and make any update or amends you like.
Your profile should describe who you are, what you can offer to potential partners, and who you want to meet. A good profile will generate significantly more meeting requests.
3) Upload products and requests for services in the online Marketplace
Producers can upload specific products and their information into the online marketplace for attendees to browse before meeting 1-1 at the physical event.
This is an optional feature but one we would encourage you to use as it gets your products out there in front of the Buyers before you even meet them. It may encourage more meetings.
4) Browse profiles of attendees
Go to the participants list to find out who is offering interesting and promising business opportunities.
Buyers can only meet with Producers and Producers with Buyers.
5) Send & receive meeting requests
Meetings/diaries open from: 7th February 2024
Browse published participants profiles and send meeting requests to those you want to meet during the event.
Participants who receive meeting requests will have the option to either accept or decline meetings. When accepting, you will be given the option to choose an available time from the meeting slots.
Once confirmed, you will be given the selected time and location of the meeting in the auditorium.
All participants can view their personal schedules at any time by going into 'Meetings' at the top right and selecting 'availability' once on that page.
There you will be able to see all of the planned meeting times for the day and your booked slots listed at the bottom.
You can manage your requests on the Meetings page and filter by accepted, pending and declined. You will also have the opportunity to reschedule any meetings should you need to.
Note for Producers: If you have 2 representatives at your table only one person can be the primary booker for your organisation as you will be seated together.
6) Showcasing Scotland Event
Access your meetings in My Agenda or Meetings, where you have your complete schedule for the event and the list of your meetings.
